Ponti is a young forest spirit (at a measly 102 years old). When spirits reach adulthood (around 1000 years old) they can transform into full-grown plants at will. Ponti is playful and adventurous, full of curiosity about the world around them. The flower hat and Robin Hood-like cape Ponti wear is related to Ponti’s adventurous and curious nature. It relates back to Ponti’s nature orientation and altruistic personality. Ponti goal in life is to enjoy the simple life - exploring and learning about the world around them, while trying to help those in need. That said, recently Ponti's siblings were picked from nearby them and so now Ponti is going on an adventure to try to save them.

Is it an adventurer? A hero? The fated one to save the world?! Who knows, because this game never came to fruition. One of my very first projects with concept art and pixel animation was born through a very feeble team of people called "Theorem Games"; lead by a friend but the programmers got lazy (as it seems with many game jams and teams I join in my own experiences) and so the game got scrapped. Maybe one day I will continue the legacy that could have been...

Study between cross breeding in art! Don't get the wrong idea...
I was initially going for something more tame and cute, but what the heck. I was gonna wack this boy together bombastically! He's so derpy :3
This was a study in my second year of university, where I was exploring mixing and matching.
A couple of years later, I entered this fun drawing contest in which the theme was hybrid. I brainstormed a couple of ideas but I was not set in stone with any. As I was going through my old files, I found the cat and octopus mashup I made and thought what if I revamped my art? I had never gone back to old designs and re-illustrated them.
In the end, I was competing with something that looked like it was drawn in 10 minutes (I know I'm judgmental, but it was just a trace over between two animals) and guess what? I lost! I only had a couple of votes down from the winner, which in my opinion, was not even good. I had rendered this beautiful piece that took me a couple of hours, even conceptualizing to make sense!
The most valuable lesson I learned was that even if I find my own ideas great and niche, it will never compare to something that is popularized by a fandom FURRIES. I'm joking, but really, keeping up with the trends and more popular subjects seem to capture people's attention than anything weird. Which is stupid, because weird things are fun. And I even made a funny story-based illustration!
Ah yes, my first Dungeons and Dragons character. It was created out of my super cool 15/16-year-old teenage mind of what a super cool meta character would be. Yes, this was my fedora stage in life and my french speaking stage—hence the name. Hey, I thought it was neat! The accent makes my character uNiqUe.
As my culminating assignment, I discovered the art of concept art and creation. Although still super basic, I had some idea of where I wanted to go. I'm still pretty impressed with how good the outfit turned out, definitely not cringy at all!
If I could go back in time, I would tell myself: GIRL. I know you like baggy pants and knee-high boots, but in no world would they ever—and I mean EVER—have a healthy relationship.
In the middle of developing my thesis, I switched to creating a video game and based it upon my lack of self-belief. This game aims to reflect my inner conflicts of decision-making and its complexity through action and consequences. The format will be a 2D fighting game with a narrative of that of a “good” and a “bad guy” fighting each other.
It forces two people to play against each other, confronting their character’s cause, which leads to a decision the two players make.Do they agree one side is more just, fight for their own character’s cause, or simply brawl it out just to win?
The antagonist is a science experiment created by the kingdom’s lab as living weapons. He develops into a leader and pushes a revolution against the kingdom as their own species and rights. The protagonist is also an experiment created to combat the rebellion and takes on the role of a hero.
There are initial ideas of characters that would be the main character of the game. I decided to go for someone who visually looked like they had a good nature or potential for good. Ultimately, I decided to explore more of
My thesis is a 2D side-scroller fighting video game where you and a friend or stranger have to play against each other as two characters. Both will have to decide who is morally correct and make a decision that will decide the outcome of the video game’s world. It's a game representing my journey and the consequences of not believing in oneself through indecisive decision-making.
I have been painting murals and helped with designing them in my art and mural club in high school. I've also painted chalk murals, road icons, and large canvases for my church and the daycare. Here are some designs I had came up with for various projects.
